The first #flagshipstore of Tonno Callipo has opened in Rome, in Via Cola di Rienzo 248!
Callipo Conserve Alimentari was founded in Pizzo Calabro in 1913 by Giacinto Callipo, the first in Calabria and among the first in Italy to can the prized Mediterranean Tuna, fished with the system of “tonnare fisse”. In 1926 the company obtained the patent of official supplier of the Royal House.
Callipo carries out the processing, in all its phases, exclusively in Italy in its plant in Maierato.
In 2008, the Callipo Group began a strong diversification: today, in addition to canned fish, it produces jams and compotes under the brand Callipo Dalla Nostra Terra, the famous traditional ice cream of Pizzo di Calabria with Callipo Gelateria.
